What follows applies to the site and to the details people send us here, on a call or in an email.
Information we receive
Most of what we hold comes directly from you. Fill in the form on our contact page and we get the details you enter, which can include your name, phone, email, the ZIP code or full address of the job (where the form has room) and a description of the work. Phone or write to us and we get whatever you say or write, along with any photos or files you attach. A little server data is collected too: our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type, requested page and time of each visit, to protect the site and keep it available.
Chat messages
When you write in the chat on this site, we keep a copy of the conversation: your messages and whatever you type there, such as your name, phone number, email or what the job is. Alongside it go the page you opened the chat on, the site that sent you here, your rough location, read from your internet address, the kind of device and browser you use, and a random code your browser holds on to so your chats on this site can be told apart. An automated assistant may answer the chat, and the providers that run it process your messages to write its replies. All of this serves answering you, helping you book the work and making the chat better.
How we use information
The reason we collect anything is to help with your request. We use it to get back to you, to plan and finish the work, and to follow up after the job. On top of that, it goes into our business records, helps secure the website and lets us comply with the law.
Who receives information
The providers that run this website, our email and our request handling can access information while providing their service. So can service partners who help deal with your request or perform the work. We may disclose information as well when the law requires it or when that is needed to protect rights and safety.
About cookies
About cookies: none are used for advertising or for analytics. Two things can still happen behind the scenes. The hosting company may set a single cookie the site strictly needs to keep it safe, and may also record anonymous totals of how often pages are viewed, counted without cookies.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Three requests are open to you whenever you like:
- to find out what information about you we keep;
- to have it corrected if it is wrong;
- to have it deleted.
Make them by email to manager@speergatesdoors.com or by phone at (720) 780-9549. We may confirm who you are first, and no one is treated any differently for making a request.
Opting out of sale or sharing
The right in brief: people who live in California, and in a growing number of other states, can opt out of having their personal information sold or shared, with selling and sharing defined by their state’s law.
To make the request:
- Call (720) 780-9549 or email manager@speergatesdoors.com.
- Tell us that you want to opt out.
- Give your name, plus the number or email you reached us from, so we can locate your records.
No account, no fee.
When your message reaches us, we confirm receipt and act on it before the legal deadline. The only details we ask for are those needed to locate your records.
If you want someone else to do this for you, they can act as your authorized agent. We may ask to see your signed authorization for them.
You can also opt out with a browser setting. Where required by law, a Global Privacy Control signal counts as that browser’s request to opt out.
Using this right costs you nothing. The prices we quote and the service we give are the same whether or not you opt out.
When information is deleted
We keep the details you send for as long as the request, the job, normal business record keeping and legal obligations call for, and delete them after that.
Security
We protect information with reasonable care, though no system can be made perfectly secure.
Children
Children under 13 are not the audience this website is intended for, and we do not knowingly gather their information.
Updates
When we revise this notice, we change the date at the top. That date always marks the current version.
