Accessibility

Accessibility target: the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Every page of the site is built with that standard in mind, from its text to its forms.

How the site is built

We have:

• used real text instead of images of text;
• added alt text to photos;
• put a label on every form field and made error messages easy to follow;
• made every control usable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
• kept headings in a logical order;
• made layouts that work on phones and at high zoom;
• written link and button text that makes sense out of context;
• checked colors for enough contrast.

Testing

We do not rely on one kind of test alone. Every page gets automated checks, and each page is also checked at desktop and phone sizes, every time something changes and before it is published.

If something does not work

Some things may have slipped past us. Not every detail of every photo is described, and a page or control that fails you is a mistake we intend to fix.
